Haz un postre de manzana crujiente
Feliz día libre!
Please make your way to "la cocina" this weekend and make algo delicioso.
Grades 3-8: Make an apple crisp and write down your experience and los utensilios de la cocina for the recipe. Also share the treat with someone and ask for them to write a short review.
Grades 1-2: Practice using the cutting technique we used in class and help out in the kitchen with anything you can. Make a list of the kitchen utensils you used and be prepared to share in class.
Note:
1. If you are unable to make this recipe then write down what you did do in the kitchen and please practice with your rock chopping/cutting skills..... remember thumb in, knuckles in an angle, knife tip down, and smooth motions (SAFETY FIRST!). Little ones please use the cross chopping. This video is awesome! Jamie Oliver's Knife Skills after the 6 minute mark... or watch the whole thing because I love this guy!
2. You can always substitute ingredientes in this recipe with anything you want... only have quick oats AWESOME... switch the flour for almond flour COOL.... peaches instead of apples AMAZING.... experiment and have fun!
3. GET IN LA COCINA/THE KITCHEN TO MAKE AND SHARE SOMETHING!
La receta: postre de manzana crujiente-
Ingredientes
1/4 cucharadita de sal fina (fine salt... leave out if using salted butter)
Mira el vídeo de una demostración profesional however.... it is in ingles :( .....inspiration can come from anywhere!

Me encanta preparar, cocinar, y hornear.

Make a list of the frutas y verduars that you ate/have over the weekend. This can be done with el vocabulario, pictures, drawings, or any way that you can think of to practice your fruits and vegetables. Also, it would not hurt to practice your conjugations for comprar, vender, dar, y comer.

Tarea (Homework): Make a perfect copy of your description paragraph(s) AND practice aloud!
Encouragement: Try new ways, new words or phrases, and give it your all! Also, new students and old please do not fret and do your best. Check your work with a friend, reread it yourself, read it aloud 3 times (THAT IS PART OF THE HOMEWORK) or send it to me (e.herboth@chpcs.org)....the writing process takes multiple revisions.
Finalmente, Yo disfruto muchas cosas.

Las descripciones
Mis estudiantes.... you all need to practice more with your adjetivos. The more words you can frequently use to describe a variety of things, the better you will do. Hay muchos colores...
