Our current topic of interest is that of pets and other animals. This is going to be more difficult than the last topic because nobody should have all of the animals available to point to for memorization. We will be using many different techniques to try to learn, comprehend, and use this knowledge in relevant exchanges in Spanish.
What will that look like? Possibly a game of pato pato ganso (duck duck goose) or a relay race with stick animals (Think of a horse head on a stick) or stump your neighbor. Either way we will have fun and learn about taking care of our pets along with a trip to an imaginary veterinarian.

Examen o Pruebita
Monday January 28th is the unit test on all the body parts (1st through 3rd on the parts of the head). Some good resources are found at school outside my door or on the billboard.
Also, Languageguide.org has a complete practice for almost all of them in the Spanish (de España) under body parts (el cuerpo). Remember the hardest ones to remember have been la mejilla (cheek), las cejas (eye brows), el párpado (eyelid), el tobillo (ankle), and el talón (heel).
It would be a good idea to practice writing them, talking with a friend (in Spanish!), testing yourself, or flashcards several times before Monday. Use your actions with the words to better remember. It may be silly, but I have had students who go from the very beginning (la cabeza) to whatever word/part they are trying to get to.
Good luck! Buena suerte!

El cuerpo^2
This is the second round learning about the body in Spanish, but we are going to take this one to the max. We are going to look at body systems and go beyond just vocabulary! Languageguide.org has vocab, and I will show way more ways to talk about the body, senses, emotions, and systems.

Awesome Free Resource! Try it!
Mis amigos y estudiantes... Duolingo is an amazing free site for learning Spanish, and it tracks your progress whether it be vocabulary, phrases, verb conjugation, and other skills. It has been fun to use, and I have enjoyed learning more skills. Give it a try!
